À PROPOS / ABOUT

Selena Phillips-Boyle is a photographer and filmmaker living in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal, Canada) working at the intersections of labour, gender and mental health. Their identity as a queer woman shapes their work as a photographer and compels them to examine topics from the intimate perspectives of cis women, trans, and non-binary folks. Selena centres a process of collaboration in each project. With an intuitive understanding of how to use natural light and the surrounding environment, Selena’s photographs document people’s lives allowing us to see them as they want to be seen. Selena has been published in the Globe and Mail, University Affairs, The Logic, Briarpatch Magazine, The Narwhal.
